Calling all Wingerworth runners. The Wingerworth Wobblers meet every Saturday at Allendale Park (near the shops) for a weekly club run. We run various distances from 3-9 miles dependent on who turns up but a shorter route is always available for those just finding their feet. We are a UKA registered running club who run mainly off road and organise the now annual run around the village the Wingerworth Wobble. If any other information is needed please don’t hesitate to contact via the get in touch option on this website or Facebook page.
Are you ready for the annual Wingerworth Wobblers Boxing day run?
Meet at 10.30am, Allendale Park (usual place) in Christmas festive gear – or it will be provided!! Friends, children and family who wish to walk are more than welcome, they will take a more direct route (30 minutes ish) to our half way stop at Stubbing Pond. After refreshments (as will all be starving and malnourished) of mulled wine, sherry, mince pies and chocolates the walkers will head back and the runners will wobble around the village so we can all meet at Allendale Park around the same time. Any queries please use the contact page or message via Facebook. Hope to see you there, Ho Ho Ho!
The Wobbler’s would like to say a huge thank you to David J Carr Photography for his fantastic images again this year.

Sorry for the delay all you keen muddy runners. Due to a clash of dates and busy season competing the Wobble has had to move to autumn this year. The course remains the same, start time still at 10.30am, HQ is still at Deer Park School, New Road, Wingerworth and I’m hoping that after a busy season we can top last years new course record.
Letters will be going out to last years category winners asking them to make sure the trophies are back from the engravers in time, trophies can be returned to any of the Wobblers ( apart from Sam – he always places 4th so may want to hang onto one!!) prior to race day.
Entry Forms: The race entry form can be download here: WW-entry-form-2014.pdf

This Saturday (29th March) will be the 4th anniversary run for the Wingerworth Wobblers. All members new and old welcome to join us for a run from the usual place ( Allendale Road – near the shops) at 10.30 a.m . There will be the now traditional cake and tea/coffee and embarrassing photo which is compulsory.
We are recruiting for the Endurer Dash on the 12th of April (8k assault course race) and a Wobblers team has been entered. Please forward any enquiries through the Wobblers FB page as there have been problems with emails from the website – apologies if you haven’t had a response to your email in the last few weeks.
The Wingerworth Wobble date is being finalised this week – please pencil in the 31st of May 2014. Just awaiting confirmation of HQ availability. If trophies could please be returned to any Wingerworth Wobblers member by the beginning of May – hopefully that gives you time to get them engraved before returning.
Great turn out for Parwich, Roger, Sam, James, Lucy, Elizabeth and Jim. Tough course, lovely weather. Some tired expressions at the finish (Sam) naming no names. Roger looks deep in thought filling out the entry form – always the hardest part!
Posh Spice (aka Ben no. 176) gains a few pounds and dresses as a humbug for Ashgate
